Südkabel accessories are essential components for XLPE-insulated high- and extra-high-voltage cables. Our innovations have consistently set new industry benchmarks. A notable milestone was achieved in 1995 when our accessory for 400 kV XLPE-insulated cables became the first worldwide to pass prequalification based on CIGRÉ’s test recommendations.

Building on this pioneering design, our plug-in compact terminations offer safe and easy-to-install solutions for XLPE-insulated high- and extra-high-voltage cables. They are compatible with nearly all types of XLPE-insulated cables, regardless of conductor, shield, sheath, or armoring. For voltage levels up to 170 kV, Südkabel accessories are also suitable for EPR-insulated cables.

As an added feature, all accessories can be optionally equipped to decouple fiber optic cables in the cable shield area. For high-voltage applications, they can also incorporate integrated sensors for partial discharge measurement.
