Your tasks

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical problems to minimize downtime.
• Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance to extend the life of the equipment.
• Replacing or repairing defective components such as bearings, pumps and hydraulic systems.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, plans and wiring diagrams.
• Keeping maintenance records and reporting problems to supervisors.

Qualifications

• • Completed training as a mechanic or a comparable qualification.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical systems and hydraulic and pneumatic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams and manuals.
  • Problem solving skills and high level of accuracy in work.
  • Team player: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
