Your tasks

• Development and design of high-voltage cable accessories in the electrical and mechanical field.
• Carrying out fault analyses and root cause analysis in the event of damage (Failure Analysis).
• Preparation and definition of test set-ups and development of test protocols in accordance with standards (e.g. IEC, VDE) IEC, VDE).
• Elaboration and development of customer-specific special solutions in close coordination with the customer and project management.
• Support for related departments such as production, quality assurance and assembly with technical questions, quality assurance and assembly with technical questions.
• Independent implementation and supervision of high-voltage tests in the company’s own R&D test laboratory.
• Documentation and follow-up of development results and preparation of technical reports.
• Participation in the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
• Presentation of project results internally and to customers.
• Close cooperation with interdisciplinary teams within the organization and, if necessary, with external partners.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable technical degree program (FH, TH, TU or BA).
• Sound knowledge in the field of electrical and mechanical design of high-voltage components.
• First professional experience in the development of technical products, ideally in the field of power transmission or high-voltage technology.
• Experience in the execution and evaluation of technical inspections and tests.
• Good knowledge of CAD software and ideally experience with simulation tools (e.g. FEM) – Confident handling of MS Office, ideally ERP/PDM systems g. FEM).
• Confident handling of MS Office and ideally ERP/PDM systems.
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working.
• Very good written and spoken German and good English skills.
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate across departments.
