Your tasks

• Sample preparation and analysis: Preparation and performance of material tests, e.g. on plastics, metals, insulation materials and coatings.
• Quality assurance: Testing incoming raw materials as well as intermediate and end products for defined specifications.
• Chemical analyses: Use of analytical methods such as spectroscopy (e.g. FTIR), thermal analysis (DSC, TGA), chromatography (GC), etc.
• Physical tests: Carrying out tensile, bending and aging tests as well as other mechanical tests.
• Documentation: Preparation of reports and documentation of the analyses and tests carried out.
• Laboratory organization: Care and maintenance of laboratory equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Departmental support: Working with the Development and Production departments to evaluate new materials and formulations.

Qualifications

• Completed training as a chemical technical assistant (CTA), chemical laboratory technician or comparable qualification.
• Experience in material analysis, ideally in the plastics or cable industry, is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of chemical and physical testing methods.
• Confident handling of laboratory equipment and analytical methods.
• Independent and structured way of working.
• High level of team orientation and communication skills.
• Professional experience in a similar position desirable.
• Good written and spoken German and English.
• Good IT skills (e.g. MS Office, laboratory software).
